TRAINING PHOTOS

The following are photos shared with us in March of 2011 by Col. William M. Hudson’s granddaughter. Col. Hudson was involved in pilot and military training in the South Pacific in the mid-1940s, prior to serving as Commander of VMSB243 from November 23, 1942 until July 22, 1943. We believe that these photos were taken on Johnston Island. You can see in the chalkboard photo a reference to Squadron 243….as well as Spider Webb’s name in the line-up. Hopefully you might find one of your relatives within these photos. If you can identify anyone in any of these photos, please drop us a line using the Comment form and include the photo number with your information.
