Both crew members of the above SBD-4 wreckage were killed on February 11, 1944. The above aircraft's remains were removed from the crash site in 1988. (Aircraft No. NZ5037)

The aircraft on the left was restored and is now on display at the RNZAF Museum in Christchurch, New Zealand.
